The Heart - A Poem
It is amazingly easy to break someone's heart by the damning weight of your words. They fall one by one. or in mass, silencing its beats. Yet. It is amazing how a heart can mend. If given enough care, and enough friends, a faint whisper of a forgotten beat. It echos, falls in step, and one by one, those beats find a new melody. Inspired by Spare Parts by Trish Dugger, Slide 93 of 100 Days of Summer Writing 2019
